Located in the heart of a Venetian architectural complex, as described in the Gerola Encyclopedia, which lists all the buildings from the Venetian era in Crete, the sumptuous luxury villa Casa Olea had the honor of hosting Count Mario. A testimony to this glorious past was still visible on the old wall of the courtyard, next to the outdoor kitchen: the coat of arms with the Lion of Venice, the emblematic symbol of the Serenissima Republic.
